John Christopher Disman, 45, died on February 3 at his home in San Francisco.  Christopher was born in Kentucky and attended Louisville Collegiate School and Hampshire College; he was a graduate of SFSU’s MA program in history and earned an editing certificate from UC Berkeley.  He was an editorial director at Write It Well, where he worked with companies and agencies in instructional design, editing, and coaching.  He was membership coordinator of the Bay Area Editors’ Forum and a member of Grace Cathedral.  Christopher’s family and friends will miss his kindness,  deep knowledge of history, culture, and technology, and his writing voice.
